Tovino Thomas who unlike many of his peers do not have an acting background and interestingly flaunts an engineering degree but his charm and inclination towards modelling made him a Malayalam uprising star. He predominantly appears in Malayalam films. He was critically acclaimed for his powerful role of a protagonist who is into student politics and leftists in of Oru Mexican Aparatha (2017) which claimed well commercial success. After this political drama, Tovino is again in a different shade and this time as a chain smoker in Theevandi. This movie has already created a buzz with its teaser.

Theevandi Story | Plot | Synopsis

Theevandi is an upcoming Malayalam movie whose story of the movie revolves around a young lad Bineesh Damodaran played by Tovino Thomas. He can be seen making incessant rings of smoke and flaunting it with pride. He plays a chain smoker in the movie. His character has a love interest played by Samyukta. The story is set in a political satire with Tovino as the central character who displays a light humour. He is a naïve youngster who is manipulated by powerful antagonist for their benefit. Unlike other of his projects where he was seen fighting ferociously, this movie is devoid of the much expected fight sequences as the genre of the movie is humour and drama. The plot encompasses two time periods, and it is interesting to see Tovino balancing the two. Coming on the music of the movie, one of its songs titled Jeevamshamayi has been recently released and it beautifully depicts the love blossoming between lead characters. The video of the song is receiving applause from the viewers as it translates all the emotions and beauty with its picturisation. The song is composed by Kailas Menon, and the magical lines come yet again from Harinarayanan BK.

Jeevamshamayi is beautifully sung by melodious Shreya Ghoshal and Harisankar KS.
