A Very Happy Birthday to Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi is the responsible person who redefined the Kollywood cinema in the ages of clinches. After the decades of struggles, He found his first break as a negative character in Sasikumar’s Sundarapandian. But after it, he never looked back and gave most of box office hit movies.

Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a completely different look in Seethakaathi, which surprised and stunned to himself too. This new look has been designed by Kevin Haney and Alex Noble(Oscar-winning makeup artiste).

According to the director of movie Balaji Tharaneetharan

Last month, Vijay Sethupathi and I had flown to Los Angeles to meet the makeup artistes to get the mould and wig designed for this prosthetic makeup. We have started shooting Vijay Sethupathi's portions only now. It takes almost four hours for him to don this makeup and one hour to get it removed. It is a tedious process, but the outcome has been excellent.

He revealed, Seethakaathi will be a drama movie which will revolve around Vijay Sethupathi.

His character is not named Seethakaathi, but you will understand the significance of the title when you watch the film

Seethakaathi will be Vijay Sethupathi's 25th movie.

Seethakaathi is fresh and different in every sense. Director Balaji Tharaneetharan has given his heart and soul to create this character and Vijay Sethupathy has literally lived this character. This role is very different to even an actor like Vijay Sethupathi who himself is known to do out of the box scripts. His look will be a massive surprise for the audience when they see it. We were looking out for an ideal date to release the first look of the movie. What better day than Vijay Sethupathyis birthday on January 16 to have such an announcement. The first look will be out on January 16 and I am very sure the audience reaction to the poster is going to be jaw-dropping. Vijay Sethupathi’s get up is so unbelievably interesting. We are very excited about January 16. I must confess that we are very proud to be doing a movie like Seethakaathi.

Seethakathi release date was not confirmed before. But later on Seethakathi release date confirmed in Dec, 2018. Seethakathi star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Archana, Remya Nambeesan, Gayathrie, Parvathy Nair, director Mahendra, Mouli, Bagavathy Perumal and Rajkumar. Veteran actress Archana is also playing a role which will travel throughout the film along with Vijay Sethupathi.
